OUR LOCATION
The Pocket is a beautifully rural little valley, with cattle and horses, emerald green paddocks and wooded hillsides leading to some of the local National Parks.
Situated only 30 minutes from Ballina or the Gold Coast airports, we are ideally situated for that well-deserved short weekend getaway or a longer break from the daily grind.
There's something for everyone here. From learning to surf, kayaking with dolphins, hang gliding with eagles, to wandering through magnificent National Parks and visiting magical waterfalls.
Hang out on a mountain top with views to die for, or wander through the peaceful countryside.
Meander through the through funky townships, with great coffee and vibrant food, or check out the weekly community and farmers’ markets to people watch and buy great local produce.
Live Music abounds. Chill out at Brunswick Heads pub, with its great beer garden and food, while listening to local musicians.
Explore Mullumbimby, set against the magnificent backdrop of Mount Chincogan and the famous Mount Warning. This original 70s hippie village is home to great organic shops, friendly cafes and one of the most popular pubs in the area.
Yoga and Meditation classes are always popular – we can even arrange personal sessions with local practitioners.
Have a massage on the deck as the sun goes down (Please provide 24-hours’ notice) before you relax into a quiet evening or a night out visiting local towns.

Situated 7 Minutes from North Byron Parklands (The Falls and Splendour in the Grass Music Festivals) 12 Minutes from Mullumbimby (Mullum music festival, Byron Spirit Festival, Living Earth Festival) 15 Minutes from Tyagarah Tee Tree Farm (The Blues Festival, Boomerang Festival) and 18 minutes from Byron Bay (The Writer's Festival, International Film Festival, Byron Art's Classic), you are right in the heart of the cultural activities for which the local area is renowned .
